CDX GS V3.11 Update: Fixes Internet Explorer 7 Error

Content in CDX General Service 3.1 fails to work correctly with Internet Explorer 7, e.g. menu items failing to link to content, and pages not appearing correctly. These problems are the result of updates to Internet Explorer, and can be corrected by applying this update to CDX General Service 3.1.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Login as Local Administrator.

2. 20 Gigabytes of free space.

3. Windows 2000 SP4 or later.

4. Pentium III 500 MHz or later.

5. At least 256 Megabytes of Ram.

6. Monitor resolution 800x600 or Ram.

7. A DVD-ROM Drive.
8. Sound card and either speakers or headphones.
9. Internet Explorer 5.5 or later.
10. Macromedia Flash Player 7 or later.
11. Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 or later.


To
automatically apply this update:

1. Login to the computer as a Local Administrator,

2. Download the update from the following link to your desktop,

http://www.cdxauto.com/cdx_resources/CDX_IE7_Update.exe 

3. Run the file by double-clicking the .exe file you downloaded to your desktop,

4. Follow the prompts by clicking on the appropriate button,
5. If you encounter a window asking if you wish to overwrite a file, click 'Yes To All'.


To manually apply this update:

1. Login to the computer as a Local Administrator,
2. Download the update from the following link to your desktop,

http://www.cdxglobal.com/support/cereberus-v3/downloads/CDX_IE7_Update.zip

3. Unzip the contents of this file to your desktop,

4. Locate the shortcut to the program, right-click on it and choose the 'Properties' option,

5. click on the 'Find Target' button that is in the properties window,

6. Note that this will open an explorer window at the base directory of the program,

7. Open the unzipped updates folder, then paste the updated contents into the program folder,

8. Note that if this is done correctly, you will be asked whether you wish to overwrite each file,

9. Check the 'Yes To All' option and click the 'Yes' button.


This should then have repaired any IE7 issues related to CDX General Service 3.1.
