CDX+ Online: Time Tracking

The Activity Reports are designed to show the amount of time each student spends engaged with the multimedia learning materials, broken down by subject area. They do not include the amount of time spent doing quizzes and tests.

Our cross-referenced data has established that there is a positive correlation between the amount of time that a learner spends with the learning materials and the quality of their test results - i.e. the more time spent learning, the better the results. We have not established that more or less time spent actually doing the tests is a significant factor in the quality of the results. Therefore, we measure and report time spent engaged with learning materials, and we measure and report attempts taken and results achieved in the various assessments.

This distinction between the two types of activity may not be clearly understood by teachers, so where an institution places a requirement on a student for a minimum number of hours CDX activity time, it might be necessary to point out to the teacher that the activity logs do not accumulate the total time students spend logged in to the CDX system, so that the teacher's minimum hours requirement can fairly reflect the amount of actual learning time required.

Please note there is a 24 hour delay in any activity being shown in the activity report, because the server is only updated once per day with this information. If you feel there is still a problem after 24 hours, please contact CDX Global Customer Support and include your logon credentials so that we can investigate the issue and check your specific account.
