CDX GS 3.1 PC: Installation Instructions
Installing CDX software on your PC is a 3 step process, and each step is covered by a support article:
1. Review the “Minimum Requirements” to ensure your PC is appropriately configured
2. Install the CDX Software
3. Activating your PC software by using the license key at came with your disks to retrieve an unlock key
Installing the software on a server to serve attached PCs requires 2 additional steps
1. Sharing the software on the server by mapping the network drive
2. Installing a shortcut on the desktop.
This article contains information about Installing CDX GS 3.1 on a PC or on a network.
Note: You will need to use the license key on the original DVD case to retrieve an activation code from CDX to unlock the software for each PC on which you intend to use the software.
Note: The server on which the software is installed does not need to be activated unless it is also being used by instructors or students as a workstation.
If you intend to use this software on more than one PC we strongly recommend a Lan Installation, as this will prevent multiple installations and save time.
Installation Procedure:
1. Insert DVD-ROM Disc 1. This will load the InstallShield installation program.
2. Follow the installation instructions on your screen to install the General Service 3 software onto the hard drive of your PC or network server. You will need approx 8Gb of available space for a full installation. After you have finished the installation, the software will run without restriction for up to 30 days.
